Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Lakeshore Support Co. ("Lakeshore Support," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our automation services and our website at lakeshore.support (the "Services"). By using our Services or providing your phone number to one of our clients, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Who we are
Lakeshore Support Co. is a Wisconsin-based business that provides automated SMS, call-handling, and customer-response systems to small local businesses. Our clients are independently owned businesses (plumbers, electricians, cleaners, salons, auto shops, and similar service providers). We operate the messaging infrastructure on their behalf.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
- Name, business name, email, phone number, and billing details when you sign up as a client.
- Content of messages you send to us through our website, email, or phone.
Information collected when you contact one of our clients
If you call or text a phone number operated by one of our clients through our system, we may automatically collect:
- Your phone number.
- The content and timestamp of the message or call.
- Basic delivery metadata (carrier, message status) provided by Twilio.
Information collected automatically on our website
- Standard log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URL.
- Cookies used for basic site functionality and analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.
3. How we use information
- To deliver SMS messages and call responses on behalf of our clients.
- To log leads, customer requests, and job status updates into the client's private CRM (Google Sheets).
- To send service-related notifications to clients (billing, system alerts, monthly summaries).
- To improve our Services, troubleshoot issues, and prevent abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and carrier requirements.
4. SMS / text message program
When you text a phone number operated through our platform, or when you provide your number to one of our clients (in person, on a form, or verbally), you are consenting to receive SMS messages from that client related to the service you requested. Specifically:
- Program name: Lakeshore Support Co. — Client Communications
- Message types: appointment confirmations, missed-call replies, job status updates, quote follow-ups, and occasional service-related broadcasts from the client you contacted.
- Message frequency: varies by client and use case. Typically 2–10 messages per month.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply. Carriers do not charge for STOP or HELP messages.
- Opt out: reply STOP at any time to any message to immediately unsubscribe. You will receive one final confirmation message.
- Help: reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at the email address below.

5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- With the client you contacted. Messages and call records you send through a Lakeshore Support number are delivered to the business that owns that number. That business is the recipient and controller of that information.
- With service providers that operate our infrastructure: Twilio (SMS/voice), Google (Sheets, Workspace), Zapier (workflow automation), and Stripe (billing). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information.
- When required by law, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process.
SMS opt-in data and consent information are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
6. Data retention
We retain message logs and lead records for as long as the client subscribes to our Services, plus 12 months for backup and dispute resolution. Billing records are retained for 7 years to meet tax and accounting requirements. You may request earlier deletion by emailing us.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards: encrypted connections (TLS), restricted account access, two-factor authentication on administrative accounts, and isolated client sub-accounts on Twilio. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Depending on your state, you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of that information.
- Opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP.
- File a complaint with your state attorney general.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Children
Our Services are intended for businesses and adult customers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to active clients by email.
